The Extended Daily Sales Report is an extension of the Daily Sales Report and includes the totals for all Sales and Check information.


To get a closer look at how Sales for a day compare on a larger scale, a User can compare Actual Sales to Last Year Sales for today, week to date, period to date, quarter to date, and year to date. A key benefit of this report is that it can be emailed directly to a User by selecting the Mail icon  next to the 'Customize' button and filling in the Content Details to request an Email Subscription. 



Navigation



To navigate to the Extended Daily Sales Report, click 'My Reports' in the Accounting Module and select 'Op. Analysis' in the top header. Once opened, a listing of reports will be shown. 


Find 'Extended Daily Sales', as displayed in the image above, and select 'Customize' next to the report. This will open up a listing of all Report Parameters that can be used to define your report.



Report Parameters



1) Filter By - A listing of all the Location categories

2) Filter - A listing of all Locations associated with the selected Location category

3) As Of - The date the report is ran as of

4) Group By Comp Store - 'Comp Store' group locations are based on their opening date. If locations have been open longer than a year, those restaurants will then be comparable; if locations haven't been open longer than a year, they will be grouped as Non-Comparable.

  • Note: Comp Store groupings will only occur if the Comp Start and End Date are entered on the Location record

5) Gross Sales - This option will show or hide Gross Sales in the report

6) Run Button - Runs the report



Report Columns



1) Sales Breakdown - This Sales column is broken down into Gross Sales, Sales By Day Part, Check Count, Avg Check Count, and Grand Totals. Each Category will then compare the restaurant Locations selected in the report 

2) Today - The Actual Sales for the date set in the report parameters against the Sales from the same day last year. The variance between the two is listed next to the same day last year Sales, showing either a growth or loss in Sales

3) Week To Date - The Actual Sales for the week to date against the Sales from the same week last year. The variance between the two is listed next to the same day last year Sales, showing either a growth or loss in Sales

4) Period To Date - The Actual Sales for the period to date against the Sales from the same period to date last year. The variance between the two is listed next to the same day last year Sales, showing either a growth or loss in Sales

5) Quarter To Date - The Actual Sales for the quarter to date against the Sales from the same quarter to date last year. The variance between the two is listed next to the same day last year Sales, showing either a growth or loss in Sales

6) Year To Date - The Actual Sales for the year to date against the Sales from the same year to date last year. The variance between the two is listed next to the same day last year Sales, showing either a growth or loss in Sales
