The Labor Break and Split report generates a list of break violations by location. This report helps users who oversee multiple locations, such as regional or district managers, track consistent violations and make sure employees are following break requirements as defined by the organization's guidelines and local laws.

  1. In the Reports section of the left navigation pane, select My Reports.
    The My Reports screen appears.
  2. At the top of the My Reports screen, select Labor.
    The screen generates a list of reports in alphabetical order.
  3. Locate the Labor Break and Split Report.
  4. Select Customize to adjust the report parameters and run the report.

Report Parameters



FieldDescription
Filter ByLocation reporting category by which to filter the report.

Note: Options in the Filter By menu are configurable and specific to your organization. For more information, see System Preferences: Location Reporting Categories and Location Record: Reporting Categories.
FilterAllows users to apply one or more filter options from the location reporting category that they selected in the Filter By menu. The selected filters determine which locations appear in the generated report.

For example, if Filter By is set to Region, the Filter menu might include options such as North, South, East, and West. A user can select West to display all locations belonging to this reporting category.

Note: Options that appear in the Filter menu are configurable and specific to your organization. For more information, see System Preferences: Location Reporting Categories and Location Record: Reporting Categories.
StartFirst date to include in the report. The Start and End date parameters create a date range. The report displays data for all dates that are included in this date range.
EndLast date to include in the report. The Start and End date parameters create a date range. The report displays data for all dates that are included in this date range.
View optionsProvides the user with options to select, save, edit, or delete a report view.

RunGenerates the report.
The green arrow button opens a drop-down from which users can Export, Email, or Print the report.

Report Columns



ColumnDescription
No WaiverNumber of times an employee with no waiver on file exceeded the maximum number of minutes they are permitted to work before taking a break.
With WaiverNumber of times an employee with a waiver on file exceeded the maximum number of minutes they are permitted to work before taking a break.
Short BreakNumber of times an employee's break did not meet the minimum number of minutes.
Late BreakNumber of times an employee's break was taken later than the expected time.
Total Break ViolationTotal number of break violations.
Split Shift ViolationNumber of times a break between two shifts that occurred on the same day did not meet the minimum or exceeded the maximum number of minutes required.
Clopening Shift ViolationNumber of times an employee did not receive the minimum amount of time off the clock between shifts that occurred on consecutive days.
