    Article summary

    The Daily Labor Review allows users to see key labor metrics all in one place. With this report, Above Store Managers can review these metrics daily for all or selected locations. By reviewing labor data daily, managers can quickly identify and address inefficiencies, optimize labor costs, and ensure compliance with labor regulations, ultimately enhancing overall operational efficiency and profitability.

    In this report, Labor Goal % is based on the location's general Labor % Goal entered on the Location record, not the daily Labor % Goals.


    1. In the Reports section of the left navigation pane, select My Reports.
      The My Reports screen appears.

    2. At the top of the My Reports screen, select Labor.
      The screen generates a list of reports in alphabetical order.

    3. Locate the Daily Labor Review.

    4. Select Customize to adjust the report parameters and run the report.


    Report Parameters

    Filter By

    A list of all filter categories. Filter categories will vary based by report.

    Filter

    A list of filter options, determined by the 'Filter By' category selected (#1).

    As Of

    Starting date for the report.

    Show Forecast

    If set to Yes, the report includes two additional columns to display forecast metrics: Forecasted Sales and Forecasted Labor. The data that appears in these columns is pulled from published forecasts.

    View options

    This section provides options to select, save, edit, or delete a report view.

    Run

    Generates the report. Click the down arrow to the right of the Run button to export, email, or print the report.


    Report Columns

    Column

    Description

    Location Name

    Name of the location for which data appears in the row.

    Forecasted Sales

    Total dollar amount of forecasted sales based on the location’s published forecasts.
    This column appears only if the Show Forecast parameter is set to Yes.

    Actual Sales

    Total dollar amount of actual sales made by the location as per the most recent poll of the POS.

    Labor Goal %

    Labor Goal % based on the location's general Labor Goal set on the Location record.

    Forecasted Labor %

    Forecasted Labor % based on the location’s published forecasts.
    This column appears only if the Show Forecast parameter is set to Yes.

    Actual Labor %

    Actual Labor % reported by the POS as of the most recent poll.

    Scheduled Labor %

    Scheduled Labor % calculated at the time when the report was generated.

    Variance to Goal

    Difference between the Actual Labor % and Labor Goal %.
    When Actual Labor % exceeds the Labor Goal %, the text in this field is red. When the Actual Labor % is below the Labor Goal %, the text in this field is green.

    Scheduled vs Actual

    Comparison of Scheduled Labor % vs Actual Labor %.

    When Actual Labor % exceeds the Scheduled Labor %, the text in this field is red. When the Actual Labor % is below the Scheduled Labor %, the text in this field is green.

    Break Rule Violations

    Number of break rules violated at the location.

    Penalty Amount

    Total dollar amount of penalty costs accrued from break rule violations.

    Minor Rule Violations

    Number of minor rules violated at the location.

    Minor Penalty Amount

    Total dollar amount of penalty costs accrued from minor rule violations.

    Employees in OT

    Number of employees who have reached or surpassed the maximum number of regular work hours and are now earning at an overtime rate.

    OT Hours

    Number of overtime hours that employees worked during the given timeframe.

    OT Amount

    Total dollar amount to be paid out at an overtime rate for overtime hours worked during the given timeframe. (OT Hours x OT Rate = OT Amount)


    Email, Export, or Print the Report

    This report can be emailed, exported, or printed in custom formatting directly from the reporting window.
