The Event Audit Log lists all User-driven event data in reverse chronological order to show all the updates made by Users in the system. This log can be referenced for reviewing recent actions made to transactions and records or to efficiently respond to questions from auditors to pass a financial review or audit.

Users with the following Permission will be able to view the Audit Log:

  • Administration → Audit Log → View Audit Log

To open the Audit Log, hover over 'Administration' in the top ribbon and click 'Audit Log'. The Audit Log screen will open in a new window.

Audit Log Header


When the Audit Log opens, the header will be the only fields listed. Update the Record Type field (required) and any of the other header fields before clicking 'Run' to view a specific record/transaction's details.



1) Date Picker - A drop-down selector that enables the User to select one of the following date filters:

  • Today
  • Yesterday
  • Last 7 Days
  • Last 30 Days
  • This Month
  • Last Month
  • This Period
  • Last Period
  • This Year
  • Last Year
  • Custom (a custom date or date range)

2) User - The User who administered the event

3) Record Type - The record or transaction involved. This is the only required selection in the header

4) Event Type - The action made in connection with the Record Type (#3)

5) Location - The Location associated with the Record Type (#3)

6) Run - This will search the system for the selections made in #1-5 and #8

  • Note: Not all selections need to be made. Only the Record Type (#3) is required

7) Clear - This will remove the selections made in #1-5

8) Search Bar - This bar allows the User to search the listing for specific values. If a value is entered, click 'Run' to search the 'References' column

9) Columns - This enables the User to show or hide available columns

10) Export - This enables the User to export the listing as a csv file


Once selections are made and the 'Run' button is clicked, the Audit Log listing will load below the header fields.

Audit Log Listing


The Audit Log listing will appear once header selections are made and ran. The columns that appear and can be adjusted include those defined below.



1) Event Date - The date and time the event occurred. Events are organized in reverse chronological order. Transactions will be hyperlinked to their transaction record, which, when clicked, shows the recent changes that were made at given times by the selected User (listed on the left side of the modal). This is reviewed in more detail below


2) User - The User who administered the event

3) Reference - The document or record number associated with the Record Type (#4). Clicking this will open the document or record

4) Record Type - The record or transaction involved in the event

5) Event - The action made in connection with the Record Type (#4)

6) Module Name - The module associated with the Record Type (#4)

7) Location - The Location assigned to the Record Type (#4)

8) Description - A key piece of data from the record that is easily searchable (Name, Item, Account Name, Location, etc.)

Transaction Record


The transaction record houses all of the information about a transaction. Users can review a deep dive of a transaction's history by opening this modal and viewing its details.



1) Event Stamp - This is the date, time, and User who conducted the event. This can be a transaction creation or update. Click the desired event in this listing to view the updates made by other Users and/or at different times

2) Reference - This is the transaction number. This is hyperlinked to its transaction, which can be opened for further review

3) Transaction Type - The type of transaction that is being reviewed

4) Module - The module associated with the transaction

5) General - The header details of the transaction. Updated details will be highlighted in blue. Three columns will be listed for this box:

  • Field Name
  • Previous (entry)
  • Modified (entry)

6) Details - The 'Details' tab of thee transaction. Updated details will be highlighted in blue. Three columns will be listed for this box:

  • Field Name
  • Previous (entry)
  • Modified (entry)

7) Distribution - The 'Distribution' tab of the transaction. Updated details will be highlighted in blue. Three columns will be listed for this box:

  • Field Name
  • Previous (entry)
  • Modified (entry)

8) Full Screen - This will expand the modal to full screen. The modal can return back to its original size by clicking the minimize icon that appears in place of this full screen icon

9) Close - This will close the modal
