Here is the list of new or updated features in this release:

  • Scheduling - This major new feature allows the ability to schedule employee shifts from within Restaurant365.  In order to use this module it must be activated by Restaurant365 staff so if you are interested in activating, please email support@restaurant365.net.  A few highlights and a link to the full training are listed below:

    • See weather, sales forecast while scheduling each day
    • See projected labor profitability for the schedule while creating it
    • Compare your schedule to actual hours worked at the end of the week
    • Quick view for the manager of who should be working right now
    • Copy schedules from prior weeks
    • Alert employees of schedule and announcements via text/email
    • Store employee pictures
    • Store a different site address on shifts not happening at the restaurant (i.e. catering events)
    • Import a list of local events that might effect the schedule to show on the schedule screen when the manager is scheduling (i.e. sports games, concerts...)
    • Rate employees on job skills and schedule based on job rating (i.e. only 4 star level bar tenders are candidates for the Saturday night shift)
    • Specify availability for each employee that helps narrow who is available on which days of the week and at what times
    • Mobile scheduling app for all employees and for managers coming at the end of March 2016 which will give employees ability to make time off requests, shift swap requests, shift drop request, and claim open shifts from their phone or the web.  Managers will then be alerted and have opportunity to approve or deny those requests on the go
  • New Reports
    • Printable Forecast - The forecast can now be stored as a PDF and printed from the forecast screen.  Click here for forecast training
    • Labor Punches - This report will list detailed labor punches based on a range of dates and locations selected by the user
  • Location Specific Vendors - Now vendors can be specified as available to all locations or only to specific locations so users who only have security access to a specific location will see vendors for that location only.  Click here for vendor training and refer to the section titled Vendor Locations
  •  Recurring Memorized Transactions
    • 2 new recurring options of Weekly, Every 2 Weeks are now available
    • Can also specify how many days in advance to create the transaction
    • Refer to this training on creating a memorized journal entry for more details (note this works for other types of transactions such as AP invoices also)
  • Custom Logo - A custom logo can now be uploaded to show in the upper left corner of the system main screen.  Click here for training on building a custom theme and refer to the Custom Logo section specifically
  • AR Invoice Import - A new import has been added to the import tool for AR Invoices.  Click here for import training
  • Stock Count Copy Multiple Locations - A count template can now be copied to multiple locations at a time instead of just 1 location
  • Bank Activity - If a transaction has a detailed comment on the row, that will show in the bank activity form as well
  • Business Analytics Update - You can now delete custom ad hoc reports you've created directly from the Ad Hoc Reports screen.  Click here for ad hoc report training
